The NSU Cybersecurity Center is embedded within North South University and aligned with the APAC Cybersecurity Fund program led by The Asia Foundation. It adopts a sustainable approach to training cybersecurity talent and delivering hands-on support to MSMEs, NGOs, and community organizations in Bangladesh.

The center offers two core in-person courses: "Digital Hygiene and Cybersecurity Awareness" (12 hours, for general audiences) and "Risk Assessment & Incident Response for MSMEs" (24 hours, for tech-oriented personnel).

The Digital Hygiene course is open to general audiences including students and professionals. The Risk Assessment course is designed for tech-oriented personnel who will work with MSMEs and organizations on cybersecurity assessments.

Students gain hands-on experience with open-source tools including OpenVAS, Nikto, Nessus, Lynis, and Sysinternals, along with NIST frameworks for incident response planning.

The top 10 performing students from the Risk Assessment course conduct on-site audits at MSMEs and NGOs to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, delivering detailed security reports.

MSMEs, NGOs, and community organizations can contact the center at office.csc@northsouth.edu for risk assessments, awareness workshops, and incident response planning support.
